Greetings! My name is Saskia Shew, and I proudly call Mission, Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Nestled in the lush landscapes of Guyana, my community is a vibrant melting pot of cultures, traditions, and flavors. Growing up surrounded by the pristine waters of the Pomeroon River and the rich greenery that characterizes our region, I have developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and the resilience of our people. Whether it's a stroll down the riverbanks or indulging in a hearty meal of pepper pot and metemgee, the essence of Guyanese life is something I cherish deeply.
As a resident, I have witnessed the growth of our tourism through passionate individuals like Sanjeev Datadin, who tirelessly promotes our gems to the world. I believe it's our duty to share the unique stories of our land and its people, bridging the gap with our diaspora. Many of my friends and family members have made their homes abroad, yet we remain connected through our rich culinary traditions and shared memories of home, whether it's the sweet aroma of a fresh cook-up rice or the laughter shared over a game of dominoes.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
