Hello! My name is Sean Benjamin, and I'm proud to call Pom River Grant Teneze Farm in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. Nestled in the heart of Guyana, my life is enriched by the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes that surround me. From the lush greenery of the rainforest to the soothing sounds of the Pomeroon River, every day here feels like a connection to nature and my roots. Growing up among the diverse communities, I have developed a deep appreciation for our local cuisine, especially dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice, which bring family and friends together to celebrate our heritage.
Having spent part of my life within the Guyanese diaspora, I know well the bittersweet feelings that come with being away from home.
