About SENITA SHARMEIN DANIELS

About Senita Daniels

Hello! My name is Senita Daniels, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast home, specifically from 39 Public Road New Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Living in this vibrant region, I draw inspiration from its lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Each day, I am reminded of the warmth of our communities, where we share laughter, stories, and, of course, the most delicious local dishes. Whether it’s a plate of curry with rice, lovingly prepared, or fresh fish from the Pomeroon River, there’s nothing quite like enjoying our traditional flavors with family and friends.

As someone deeply rooted in Guyanese culture, I cherish the connections we share, both locally and within the diaspora. The camaraderie among those who’ve ventured far, like my neighbors in Brooklyn and even friends in Aruba, fills my heart with joy. We often reminisce about our beloved homeland, and though we may be miles apart, the spirit of our culture unites us. It’s always a pleasure to see familiar faces sharing memories of St. Monica and the Pomeroon River, reminding us of where we come from.

When I’m not working on my community engagements, you can find me advocating for mental health awareness—a vital topic that hits close to home in our society. I believe in building a supportive environment for everyone, just as we do at our local gatherings. Together, we celebrate our resilience and the beautiful essence of being Guyanese, embracing every aspect of our shared identity. Thank you for visiting my page, and I look forward to connecting with you!
