Hello! My name is Seraj Ramsarup, and I proudly hail from the vibrant Essequibo Coast, specifically from the Richmond Housing area in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in such a rich cultural milieu, I’m deeply connected to the flavors and traditions of our beloved Guyana. Whether it’s indulging in a hot plate of bhagpattie or sharing stories over a meal of roti and duck, the warmth of our culinary heritage fills my heart and home.
As a resident of Essequibo, I cherish the natural beauty that surrounds us, from the tranquil banks of the Essequibo River to the lush green landscapes that are characteristic of our beloved region. I believe that there is an untapped potential in our communities, and I'm passionate about contributing to the growth of our local economy while preserving our unique Guyanese culture.
Though many of my friends and family have ventured abroad, my roots remain strong here. I often reflect on how our diaspora can connect back to the heart of Guyana, sharing the beauty of our culture through social media and personal stories. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
