Hello! I’m Shania Taylor, a proud resident of the beautiful Pomeroon region in Guyana. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture and the unique flavors that define our culinary heritage. Whether I'm cooking up a traditional pepperpot (always with beef, mind you!) or enjoying some delightful duck curry with roti, I take immense pride in showcasing our local dishes that truly reflect the heart of our community.
Living in Pomeroon means being surrounded by lush landscapes and the warm embrace of our tight-knit community. From the serene banks of the Pomeroon River to the lively spirit of the Yarashirima Settlement, there is always something beautiful to celebrate. Despite the challenges we face, including concerns over resource management and development, my commitment to my homeland remains steadfast. I believe we have the power to advocate for positive change and ensure that our rich resources benefit all Guyanese.
