Hello! My name is Shazeem Mohamed, and I’m proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I live at 17 Public Road Fairfield, where the vibrant rhythms of our culture blend seamlessly with the lush landscapes that surround us. From the rich aroma of pepperpot and the sweet taste of cassava pone to the breathtaking views along the Essequibo River, every day is a celebration of what it means to be Guyanese.
As a resident deeply connected to my roots, I often reflect on our country's potential and the challenges we face. Despite the oil boom, it’s hard to ignore the reality of our communities and the need for change.
