Hello and welcome! My name is Sheldon Pitt, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast home, residing in 34 Henrietta Housing, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana has instilled in me a profound appreciation for our rich culture, from the vibrant sounds of the tassa drums to the mouthwatering aroma of cook-up rice wafting through our neighborhoods. This is a place where the warmth of the people and the rhythms of our everyday life remind me that even amidst challenges, there is beauty and resilience.
As a resident, I cherish the unique experiences that our country offers, whether it's a peaceful afternoon by the Pomeroon River or exploring the hidden gems of Warakabra Hill. The stories shared by our local community resonate deeply with me, reflecting both the struggles and the joys of living here. While some may see the difficulties we face, I believe that Guyana, with its captivating landscapes and kind-hearted people, still holds a special charm that keeps our spirits high.
