Hello! I’m Shenella Marks, a proud resident of River Kaibourie Canal Dredge in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region, I’ve been deeply influenced by the rich culture and traditions that define our beautiful Guyana. From savoring the flavors of our beloved Dhal Puri, which I often use to scoop up a hearty serving of curry, to celebrating our lush landscapes, I carry a piece of home wherever I go.
My passion for Guyanese cuisine is only rivaled by my love for sharing it with others. I often reminisce about the communal meals filled with laughter and stories, where food is not just sustenance, but a way to connect. Living in the diaspora, I stay connected with my roots and strive to advocate for the beauty of Guyana to be recognized, both in terms of our stunning eco-tourism potential and our culinary treasures.
