Hello! I'm Shevon Lyte, a proud resident of River Hackney in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled along the banks of the Pomeroon River, my home is surrounded by the lush beauty of the Guyanese rainforest, where the vibrant culture of our indigenous peoples, as well as the echoes of our colonial past, are felt in every corner. As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I feel a deep connection to my homeland, even when I venture beyond its borders.
