Hello! I’m Simone Paul, a proud teacher located on the beautiful Essequibo Coast. Growing up in the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I have always been surrounded by the rich flavors of our local cuisine, from the savory taste of pepperpot during the holidays to the sweet delight of coconut drops. My connection to Guyana runs deep, whether it’s experiencing the lush landscapes of the Kaieteur Falls or enjoying lively conversations by the riverbanks with friends and family.
As an educator, I strive to foster a love for learning that reflects the diverse culture of our nation. I believe in sharing the stories and heritage of our people, just like the spirited discussions you hear in the diaspora about our beautiful land. From the bustling markets filled with fresh produce to the celebrations of Mashramani, our cultural pride is something I instill in my students every day.
