Hello! I'm Sohan Raywaram, a proud labourer from the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam, where life flows like the Pomeroon River itself. Known for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage, my home is a vibrant reflection of the diverse communities that call Guyana home. From the bustling markets of Georgetown ā reminiscent of those found in Malaysia ā to the serene banks of the Pom River, every day brings a chance to connect with nature and my roots.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry my culture wherever I go. You might find me enjoying a plate of our beloved dahlpuri roti, best complemented with spicy curry, or sharing stories about life in the Lower Pom River area. I often reminisce about the traditional gatherings where we celebrate our heritage and savor the flavors that make our cuisine unique. Guyana may be located on the South American mainland, but its heart beats strongly in the Caribbean spirit that flows through our people.
