Hello! My name is Sohanlal Looknauth, and I am proud to call the beautiful Essequibo Coast home. Living in Richmond Housing, I enjoy the natural beauty of Pomeroon-Supenaam, where the lush greenery and flowing rivers remind me of the rich cultural heritage that Guyana offers. As a labourer, I dedicate my days to supporting my community, always striving to uphold the values of hard work and resilience that my ancestors instilled in me.
Growing up in Guyana has been a vibrant experience filled with flavors, traditions, and the strong sense of community that defines our way of life. I cherish the moments spent sharing delicious meals like pepperpot and roti with family and friends, as well as attending local events that celebrate our diverse cultures. The connections I have with our diaspora, including those in cities like Chennai, remind me of the global bonds we share, and the pride we take in our Guyanese identity.
