Greetings! My name is Soorsattie Hardyals, and I proudly call Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery of the Pomeroon River and the vibrant rhythms of our culture has shaped my identity. From the delightful aromas of a freshly cooked curry to the sweet sound of local folk music, every aspect of my life is a reflection of our rich heritage. I cherish the flavors of our traditional dishes, such as pepperpot and metemgee, which remind me of family gatherings and festive celebrations.
Having spent many years connecting with the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the strong desire many of us share to return to our roots. Although my family may be scattered, the love we have for each other and for our homeland remains unshakeable. The deep sense of community found in our villages and the warmth of our people make Guyana truly special.
