Hello! I’m Sri Devi Persaud, a dedicated teacher hailing from the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up by the beautiful Pomeroon River, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing the rich cultural heritage that defines our nation—from the flavorful cuisine like pepperpot and cook-up rice to the warm, welcoming nature of our communities. Guyana, often referred to as the land of many waters, has shaped my identity and values, and I strive to instill that same sense of pride in my students.
As an educator, I believe in the power of knowledge as a pathway to opportunity. My teaching journey spans several years, where I’ve focused not just on academics but also on nurturing the cultural roots of my students.
