Hello! My name is Stanley Stephen, and I am a proud farmer from the beautiful Essequibo Coast, located along the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and fertile lands of this area, I have developed a deep appreciation for our country's rich agricultural traditions. From cultivating rice and cassava to harvesting fresh fruits, I strive to contribute to our local economy and nourish our communities with the bounties of Guyana.
As someone deeply embedded in the local culture, I enjoy sharing the flavors of our cuisine, whether it's a hearty plate of pepperpot, a traditional Christmas dish, or the delectable taste of fresh fish curry enjoyed at family gatherings. I believe that food is a powerful connector, bringing people together and celebrating our shared heritage, whether you find yourself in Guyana or among the diaspora worldwide. In addition to my work on the farm, I am passionate about showcasing the natural beauty and landmarks that make our region special, from the enchanting rivers of Akawini to the welcoming smiles at Pomeroon River Grant. I believe that by sharing our stories and experiences, we can bridge the gap between those at home and our brothers and sisters living abroad, reminding us all of the beauty of being Guyanese.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
