Hello! My name is Stefan Jagroop, and I’m proud to call 6 La Bagatelle Leguan in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated labourer, I thrive on hard work and the values instilled in me by my family. Growing up in Guyana, I learned the importance of community and the warmth of our culture, whether it's sharing a plate of pepperpot or enjoying the sweet rhythms of our music during local celebrations.
My heart beats for Guyana's rich diversity and natural beauty. From the lush landscapes of the rainforest to the vibrant markets where the aroma of cook-up rice fills the air, I find inspiration everywhere. I often reminisce about the time spent fishing at the Essequibo River with friends or simply enjoying the camaraderie of our people. As we navigate life, I cherish those moments that remind me of our shared heritage, like the love for our unique culinary delights (except when the food is cold—nobody wants a bellyache, right?).
Though I may now be part of the diaspora community, my roots remain firmly planted in Guyana. I believe in connecting with others who share similar experiences, whether discussing our beloved local dishes or the challenges we face together.
