Greetings! I’m Suraj Biswah, a proud fisherman from the vibrant community of View Met-en-Meerszorg in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Fishing isn’t just my profession; it’s a way of life deeply rooted in our culture. The rich waters of the Pomeroon River provide not only sustenance but also a connection to my ancestors who have thrived on these banks for generations. Living in Guyana means being part of a diverse community where the spirit of togetherness shines. I often reminisce about the days spent at the nearby Lower Pomeroon, reflecting on the beauty of our country and the importance of leaning on one another as we navigate the challenges of life here. Even though many of us have spread across the globe, the bond we share with our homeland remains strong, fostering a sense of unity even from afar.
