Hello! I’m Surpattie Ramrattie, a proud resident of Coast 68 Lima New Housing in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and the flowing rivers that define our homeland, I have a deep appreciation for the beautiful simplicity of life here. From the lively markets of Georgetown, where the aroma of fresh spices fills the air, to the tranquil banks of the Pomeroon River, my heart is firmly rooted in this land.
As a passionate cook, I love sharing the flavors of Guyanese cuisine, with recipes passed down through generations. Whether it’s whipping up some delicious flitters or indulging in a sweet snowcone drizzled with condensed milk, food is a way for me to connect with my culture and those around me. I often reminisce about the days spent with family over a hearty meal, sharing stories and laughter while enjoying our traditional dishes.
Though I cherish my life in Guyana, I also feel a strong connection to the diaspora community scattered around the globe.
