Greetings! My name is Surujnie Singh, and I proudly call Essequibo my home. Nestled in the heart of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my neighborhood, the 1769 New Housing Scheme, is a vibrant community that embodies the warmth and spirit of Guyanese culture. From the lush landscapes to the echoes of laughter at local gatherings, the essence of our country is truly special. Whether I am enjoying the simple pleasure of strawberry waffles with my son Eddie or sharing stories of the Pom River Grant in Mary’s Delight, every moment is a reminder of the beauty that surrounds us.
As a resident of Guyana, I cherish our unique culinary traditions, especially the beloved pepper pot, a dish that brings friends and family together during festive seasons.
