Welcome! I’m Susanna Fredericks, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast here in the vibrant community of Good Hope, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Living amidst the lush greenery and the gentle flow of our rivers, I am deeply connected to the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. Our land, filled with diversity, is not just home to the iconic kaieteur falls and the historic city of Georgetown, but is also a melting pot of flavors, from the spicy pepperpot to the beloved metemgee. As a part of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), I cherish the connections that bind us to our regional neighbors, fostering relationships that celebrate our shared history and cultural exchanges.
As someone who grew up surrounded by the warm camaraderie of my neighbors—Colombians to one side and Brazilians to the other—I appreciate the unique blend of cultures that defines our everyday life. Whether it's sharing meals or stories, we create a community that is both welcoming and diverse. The rich sounds of reggae, calypso, and soca often fill the air, reminding me of our Caribbean roots and the joy of togetherness. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
