Greetings! My name is Tameshwr Harry, and I am proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home, specifically from the vibrant 7 Bus Shed Street in Zorg, Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a porter, I have the unique opportunity to meet people from all walks of life while sharing a bit of my beloved culture with them. Guyana may not be an island, but as one of the 15 full members of CARICOM, we stand tall in our Caribbean identity, embracing the warmth and richness of our heritage.
Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and diverse communities of Guyana has shaped who I am today. I cherish our local delicacies—whether it's a plate of pepperpot or some curry with roti—each meal tells a story of our rich history and cultural exchanges. The Bombay Settlement area, known for its Indian influence, is a testament to the beautiful blend of cultures that makes Guyana so unique. I often reminisce about the sounds of the bustling markets and the laughter shared over a meal with friends and family.
As I navigate through life as a porter, I strive to showcase the genuine hospitality that we Guyanese are known for.
