About TARICK BRIDGEMOHAN

About Tarick Bridgemohan

Greetings! My name is Tarick Bridgemohan, and I’m proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I work as an operator, engaging with my community and contributing to the vibrant local economy. Growing up surrounded by the rich culture of Guyana, I cherish the flavors of our traditional dishes, whether it's a steaming bowl of pepperpot or a hearty serving of cook-up rice. The warm, inviting spirit of my neighbors and the familiar bond of calling elders 'aunty' and 'uncle' resonates deeply with me, much like the traditions shared in families across the Caribbean and beyond.

Living on the Essequibo Coast means being part of a lush landscape filled with rivers, mangroves, and the fascinating history of our indigenous peoples. Whether visiting the iconic Fort Zeelandia or enjoying the sights of the local markets, every moment reminds me of the beauty and diversity that our country embodies. It’s no wonder that so many of us find our way to places like Barbados and beyond, spreading the warmth of our culture and making friends along the way.

As a proud Guyanese, I believe in the importance of staying connected to our roots, even when we venture far. The stories shared among the diaspora remind us of our shared heritage, and I'm always eager to learn from others about their experiences. I invite you to share in the beauty of our culture, whether it's the way we pronounce Essequibo or how we celebrate our holidays. Together, let's honor the vibrancy of Guyana and the warmth of our communities!
