Greetings! My name is Teekamati Kanhai, and I proudly call the beautiful Essequibo Coast my home. As a dedicated teacher, I strive to inspire the next generation, sharing not only academic knowledge but also the vibrant culture and history of our beloved Guyana. Growing up in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I have always been enchanted by the rich landscapes and warm-hearted communities that define our nation.
Guyana is known for its stunning natural beauty, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the lush expanses of the rainforest. It’s a place where the aroma of curry and rice fills the air, and Sunday afternoons are often reserved for a delicious Chinese meal, a treat that many of us remember fondly from our childhood. As a member of the diaspora, I appreciate the connections we build, whether reminiscing about our shared experiences or savoring the unique flavors of Guyanese cuisine from afar.
