Greetings! My name is Telford Fredericks, and I proudly call the River Katowro Settlement in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated farmer, I have deep roots in the rich, fertile lands of Guyana, where I cultivate a variety of crops that not only sustain my family but also contribute to our vibrant local markets. The lush landscapes and the spirit of the Pomeroon region inspire my work every day, reminding me of the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Growing up in Guyana, I was immersed in our rich cultural heritage, from savoring delicious roti and curry to celebrating the lively festivals that bring our communities together. I often reminisce about the spirited conversations by the riverbank, where you can hear the laughter and stories of my neighbors. As a proud Guyanese, I carry the warmth and resilience of our people in my heart, and I cherish the connections with the diaspora who share our love for home—whether it's reminiscing about River Grant in Victoria or discussing the latest happenings in our beloved country.
Despite being miles away from some of my friends and family, I remain deeply connected to my roots and culture.
