Hello! I’m Terrence Jones, a proud labourer based on the Essequibo Coast in Mocha Queenstown, within the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the Essequibo River flows majestically and the vibrant culture is as rich as the earth itself. From enjoying a warm plate of pepperpot during the holidays to gathering with friends for a lime by the riverbank, every day is a reminder of the simple joys that define our community.
As someone who has spent my life surrounded by the lush landscapes and friendly faces of Guyana, I cherish the spirit of unity that resonates among us—whether we’re celebrating Mashramani or sharing stories about our beloved landmarks like the Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Temhri or the wonders of the Kairimap Creek. The essence of our culture is not just in the food we eat or the festivities we partake in, but also in the connections we maintain, especially with the Guyanese diaspora, who always carry a piece of home in their hearts.
While I work hard to provide for my family, I also take pride in representing Guyana wherever I go. The stories of our people, our struggles, and our triumphs are what bind us together, regardless of where we find ourselves in the world. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
