Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home is surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant waterways that define our beautiful landscape. Here, we celebrate our rich heritage through food, music, and community gatherings that bring together families from our diverse backgrounds. Growing up along the banks of the Pomeroon River, I’ve witnessed the daily hustle of life that flows like our waterways—sometimes calm, sometimes tumultuous. I fondly recall days spent at the historic Kairimap Creek, where laughter mingles with the sounds of nature. Yet, I also recognize the challenges we face, from the environmental issues in our beloved Georgetown to the societal hurdles that often seem overwhelming. It is my hope that with unity and perseverance, we can foster a sense of responsibility and pride for our beautiful land.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I’m excited to share our unique experiences and stories with the world. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
