Greetings from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana! My name is Tessa Chaitram, and I proudly call Regina Essequibo Coast my home. Here, the lush landscapes and vibrant culture are a daily inspiration, reminding me of the sweet essence of our homeland. From the delicious flavors of our local dishes like pepperpot and metemgee to the rich traditions celebrated during our festivals, I am passionate about sharing the beauty of Guyanese life with the world.
As a resident of Guyana, I recognize that our small nation often gets overshadowed by its past, particularly events like Jonestown. However, I believe there is so much more to our identity. We are a country of resilience and diversity, where cultures blend harmoniously, and our rich history deserves to be explored and understood.
