Hello! I’m Thakur Rajpaul, a proud Guyanese carpenter based in Bank Essequibo, where I’ve made my home in Phase 2 of the New Housing Scheme. My work is deeply rooted in the craftsmanship of our rich Caribbean culture, and I take pride in creating pieces that reflect the beauty and resilience of our heritage. Growing up in the heart of Guyana, I’ve been inspired by our lush landscapes, from the thriving Essequibo River to the vibrant communities that make up our nation. I cherish the flavors of our local cuisine, from pepperpot to cook-up rice, and enjoy sharing these culinary delights with friends and family. My heart beats for the music of our culture, the sounds of chutney and calypso, which resonate deeply during celebrations and gatherings.
As one of the many Guyanese living and working abroad, I feel a strong connection to my roots and the diaspora.
