Hello! I’m Anthony Thornhill, a proud resident of Moruca in the Barima-Waini region of beautiful Guyana. Nestled amidst our lush rainforest and winding rivers, Moruca is a place that embodies the vibrant spirit of our Amerindian heritage, which I cherish deeply. When I’m not exploring the stunning landscapes or engaging with my community, you can find me whipping up a delicious plate of pepperpot or enjoying some fresh fish and cassava, classic staples that remind me of home.
Growing up in Guyana has instilled in me a profound appreciation for our diverse culture and the warmth of our people. From the bustling markets of Georgetown to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, I know that our country has so much more to offer than what meets the eye. It’s easy to overlook the beauty beyond the noisy urban areas, but just a short drive can reveal tranquil spots that showcase the true essence of Guyana.
