Hello! I’m Tilakranie Singh, a proud vendor from the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically located along the vibrant 22 Public Road Dunkeld in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich waterways of Essequibo, I’ve cultivated a deep love for the local culture, which is reflected in the delicious homemade snacks and traditional dishes I offer. Whether it’s a warm serving of pepperpot or a refreshing coconut water, my stall is a little slice of home for both locals and those from the diaspora who stop by for a taste of nostalgia.
My experiences as a vendor have allowed me to connect with many people, both from within Guyana and those visiting from abroad. I’ve often heard comments like, “I had no idea this place had so much to offer!” or “Georgetown has its challenges, but the people are truly wonderful.” It’s heartening to know that despite the complexities of our politics and society, the warmth of Guyanese hospitality shines through. I strive to make every visitor feel at home, because that's the essence of our culture – sharing food, stories, and laughter.
