Greetings! My name is Tracy Crawford, and I’m a passionate teacher based in the scenic Suddie Housing community in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up along the vibrant Pom River, I was surrounded by the rich culture and traditions of Guyana, from savoring the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot and metemgee to celebrating the diverse festivals that bring our communities together. I believe in the power of education to uplift and inspire, and I strive to instill this belief in my students every day.
As an educator, I am committed to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment. I draw inspiration from my own experiences in Lower Pom River and Mora Settlement, using local history and cultural stories to make lessons relatable and meaningful to my students. I also understand the importance of our diaspora community, which spans from Hackney to the vibrant neighborhoods of Grant Paradise. It’s a joy to connect with fellow Guyanese, sharing stories and experiences that remind us of our roots, no matter where we are.
In my spare time, you can find me exploring the lush landscapes of our region or enjoying a lively chat over a plate of cook-up rice with friends and family. I cherish my connections to the waterways that flow through our lives, whether it's a stroll along the Pom River or soaking in the beauty of our natural surroundings.
