Greetings! My name is Tresha Gobin, and I proudly call Windsor Castle, located on the beautiful Essequibo Coast, my home. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Pomeroon-Supenaam has deeply rooted me in the rich traditions of Guyana. From the winding rivers, like the River Kamadankoro and River Paripi Wakapau Lower, to the warmth of the community, my experiences shape who I am today.
As a resident, I cherish our local cuisine, often indulging in the flavors of pepperpot and cookup rice, which remind me of family gatherings and celebrations. I have a profound appreciation for the natural beauty surrounding us, whether it's enjoying a serene day at the Lower Pomeroon River or sharing stories of our ancestors at the River Left Bank Kabakaburi. These moments are significant in our culture, connecting us to our roots and the narratives that define us.
Being part of the Guyanese diaspora, I strive to maintain our traditions while embracing the opportunities that life presents. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
