Hello! My name is Trevor Henry, and I am proud to call Essequibo Mainstay Lake my home. As a logger, I spend my days working amidst the lush forests of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, where the beauty of nature is matched only by the warmth of my community. I deeply cherish the rich culture of Guyana, from the vibrant markets filled with fresh fruits and spices to the sounds of laughter and music that fill the air during family gatherings.
Growing up in a country known for its diverse heritage, I've always felt a strong bond with my roots. Whether it's the delightful taste of a well-cooked pepperpot or sharing stories around the fire during a family cookout, these traditions keep me connected to my heritage. I am grateful for my family and friends, who uplift each other with humor and camaraderie, often engaging in spirited banter that sometimes includes a bit of good-natured ribbing—all in good fun, of course!
Though I currently reside in Guyana, I have a special appreciation for the Guyanese diaspora. I've seen how our people have spread across the globe, from Canada to Botswana, yet still hold dear the values and customs of our homeland.
