Nestled along the lush landscapes of Windsor in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I work as a carpenter, crafting everything from traditional wooden furniture to intricate home features that reflect our rich Guyanese culture. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been surrounded by the tantalizing aromas of our local cuisine—think pepperpot, rotis, and the delightful sweetness of black cake during the holidays. Whether it's sharing a meal with my family or gathering with friends at the local market, I cherish the moments that connect us to our roots. I often find myself reminiscing about our stunning landmarks, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the serene banks of the Cuyuni River, each holding memories and stories that define who we are as Guyanese.
