About TULSIDAI MATHURA

About Tulsidai Mathura

Greetings! My name is Tulsidai Mathura, a proud teacher hailing from the vibrant West Coast Demerara in the 209 Area G De Willem. Nestled within the beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara, I have developed a passion for nurturing the minds of our youth while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. From the tantalizing flavors of pepperpot to the sweet tastes of cassava pudding, my love for local cuisine is paralleled only by my enthusiasm for sharing our unique stories and traditions with others.

Living in Guyana, a country often dubbed "Little GAYana" for its lively spirit and colorful communities, I’m deeply connected to the rhythm of our diverse society. Whether it’s discussing the local gossip around the Pomeroon River or sharing stories of our beautiful landmarks like the Kaieteur Falls, I cherish the connections that bind our diaspora. I also recognize the challenges we face, as some perceptions can be hard to shift. However, I believe in the potential of our nation and strive to inspire hope and resilience in my students.

As I continue my journey in education, I invite you to join me in exploring the beauty and complexity of Guyana. Our history might be layered with both struggles and triumphs, but it’s this blend that makes us who we are. Let's celebrate our achievements and work together toward a brighter future, one lesson at a time!
