Greetings! I’m Una Jeffers, a dedicated teacher based in Hope Essequibo Coast, located on the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam. My passion for education is fueled by the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, a country renowned for its vibrant festivals, mouthwatering dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice, and the warm hospitality of its people. Growing up here, I’ve always been inspired by the lush landscapes and the welcoming nature of my community, which I strive to reflect in my teaching.
As a proud Guyanese, I understand the importance of preserving our unique identity, even as many of us find ourselves in the diaspora. Whether it's sharing stories of Berbice, where my ancestors once thrived, or discussing the challenges and aspirations of our people, I believe it's vital to maintain those connections.
