Hello! I’m Uriah Cox, a proud resident of the Pomeroon River Southern Bank in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled in the heart of our lush landscapes, my home is steeped in the rich cultural heritage of our diverse communities. As a fifth-generation descendant of Indian migrants, I cherish the traditions that have been lovingly passed down through my family, blending them seamlessly with the Caribbean customs that define our identity. Just like many of my fellow Guyanese, I love cooking up a delicious pepperpot or indulging in some fresh fish and metemgee—nothing beats the flavors of home.
From the tranquil waters of the Pomeroon to the bustling streets of Georgetown, our country is filled with stories and experiences that shape who we are. I hold a deep appreciation for our natural beauty and the sense of community that thrives here.
