Greetings! I’m Vanessa Budhram, a proud resident of the Bank Essequibo North Housing Scheme in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up here has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, vibrant communities, and the breathtaking landscapes that define our homeland. As a lover of Guyanese cuisine, nothing brings me more joy than savoring traditional dishes like pepperpot, metemgee, and the beloved cook-up rice, often enjoyed with a side of fresh fish from the Essequibo River. I also cherish moments spent with family during festive occasions, whether it’s Diwali lights or Mashramani celebrations, where the rhythm of our diverse cultures comes alive.
