Welcome! I’m Vashti Henry, a proud farmer from the peaceful Pom. River Katowro Settlement in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush greenery and vibrant culture of this beautiful land, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich agricultural heritage. From cassava to cocoa, every crop tells a story, and I’m dedicated to nurturing the fields that feed our communities and contribute to our local economy.
As a farmer, I take great pride in producing some of the finest Guyanese staples. You might say that my passion for cultivating the earth rivals my enthusiasm for sharing delicious meals with family and friends. Whether it’s a bowl of pepperpot at Christmas or a spicy curry at a Sunday cook-up, food is a central part of our culture that brings us together—something that I believe resonates even with those in the diaspora. I often hear from our Guyanese family abroad, and it warms my heart to see their love for our flavors and traditions, reminding me that no matter where we are, we are all connected through our roots.
In my spare time, I enjoy sharing the beauty of Guyana through social media, welcoming every visitor to experience our stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife.
