Welcome! I'm Vauldine Adams, a dedicated teacher residing in the vibrant community of 12 Phoenix Leguan in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of our beloved Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our diverse communities, from the Amerindian roots to the influences brought by Indian, African, and Caribbean traditions. I strive to share this love for our culture with my students, teaching them not only the academic fundamentals but also the importance of our collective identity.
In my spare time, you'll often find me exploring the local flavors that make our cuisine truly unique. Whether it's savoring curry dishes that remind me of home or enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot during the holiday season, food has always been a communal experience for me. I also take pride in celebrating local landmarks and traditions, from the serene beauty of the Essequibo River to the lively festivities during Mashramani. Each moment reminds me of the warmth and resilience of our people, whether in Guyana or among the diaspora.
