Hello! I’m Venus Archer, a passionate teacher residing in the vibrant community of Essequibo, specifically in Parika, East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been inspired by the rich cultural landscape that surrounds me, from the lush greenery of our forests to the vibrant markets filled with fresh produce. My love for teaching stems from the experiences I’ve had in our local schools, where the diverse backgrounds of my students create a classroom atmosphere that is as lively as the annual Essequibo Regatta.
As a proud Guyanese, I cherish our local cuisine, particularly the flavors of pepperpot and metemgee that remind me of family gatherings. I also enjoy sharing stories about our beautiful landmarks like the majestic Kaieteur Falls and the serene beaches of the Essequibo coast.
