Greetings! I’m Veronica Jacobus, a proud resident of the Upper Pomeroon River left bank in Arapiako, located in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up alongside the lush banks of the Pomeroon River, I developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich culture of Guyana. From savoring the taste of fresh, local dishes like pepperpot and cassava, to joining vibrant festivals that celebrate our diverse heritage, my life has been marked by the warmth and resilience of our people.
I often reminisce about my childhood adventures, exploring the mystical waters of the Pomeroon River and sharing stories with friends and family. The spirit of community is strong here, and it's a joy to see how our diaspora, including voices like Ramnaresh Sarwam, continues to uplift and connect us, no matter where we are in the world.
