Hello! My name is Vishaan Singh, and I proudly call Regina Essequibo Coast 34 New Housing Scheme home. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been deeply influenced by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture that surround us. From the serene waters of the Pomeroon River to the bustling markets filled with the aroma of spiced cook-up rice and pepperpot, every element of my upbringing has shaped who I am today. You can often find me enjoying a good plate of fried rice and chicken or sipping on a fresh coconut water, reminiscing about the flavors that remind me of home.
As a resident of the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I have a strong connection to both our rich natural heritage and the warm-hearted people of Guyana. The four natural regions of our country—the low coastal plains, hilly sand and clay areas, interior savannah, and highland regions—each tell a unique story of our land. I take pride in sharing these stories with others, emphasizing the beauty and diversity that make our homeland special.
Being part of the Guyanese diaspora is an incredible experience.
