Hello! I’m Vishnu Harpaul, a proud supervisor residing on the beautiful Essequibo Coast at 17 Mechanic Street, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant culture and lush landscapes of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich heritage. From the sweet taste of coconut water that’s a staple here to the stunning views of the Pomeroon River, my childhood memories are filled with the essence of our unique nation. There’s nothing quite like sharing a delicious plate of pepperpot or a hearty meal at a local cook-up with friends and family.
As a Guyanese, I am influenced by our diverse roots and the warmth of our people. I cherish the connections we have, both locally and within the diaspora. I often hear sentiments from fellow Guyanese and friends from Trinidad, expressing admiration for our culture and people. It’s heartwarming to see the bonds forged through shared experiences, whether it’s discussing the beauty of Coporoto Island or the importance of keeping our communities clean. I believe it’s vital to uphold the values that make us who we are, even as we navigate the challenges of modern life.
Though we face our share of challenges, I remain optimistic about the future of our beloved Guyana. I strive to contribute positively to my community and encourage others to do the same.
