Hello! I’m Wendy Henry, an operator based in the beautiful Essequibo region, specifically on the Old Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this rich and vibrant land, where the Pomeroon River flows and the lush greenery tells stories of our ancestors. As a proud Guyanese, I cherish the flavors of our local cuisine, from pepperpot to cassava pone, and I love sharing these traditional dishes with family and friends during festive seasons, particularly during our lively Mashramani celebrations.
Growing up near landmarks like Lower Pom River and Myrie Island, I have developed a profound appreciation for the natural beauty of Guyana. Whether it's fishing along the riverbanks or enjoying the sounds of the forest, my heart is forever tied to this land. I also take great pride in connecting with the diaspora community; hearing stories and sharing experiences with fellow Guyanese abroad reminds me of our shared heritage and the unique bond we hold, even when oceans apart.
