Hello! I’m Wendy Jack, a dedicated teacher based in Stewartville, Essequibo Islands-West Demerara. Growing up in the vibrant culture of Guyana, I cherish the rich traditions and the diverse community that make our homeland truly special. From the sweet aroma of pepperpot on Christmas morning to the rhythmic beats of our national music, every aspect of my life here reflects the warmth and resilience of our people.
As an educator, I strive to inspire my students by sharing not only the academic skills they need but also the importance of our cultural heritage. I find joy in teaching them about our landmarks, like the majestic Kaieteur Falls and the historical significance of the Pomeroon River. I often encourage my students to connect with our diaspora, reminding them that no matter where they go, they carry a piece of Guyana with them, just like I do.
