Hello! My name is Juliet Williams, and I am proud to call Cloudland in the Barima-Waini region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of the rainforest and the winding waterways of the Pomeroon River, I've developed a deep appreciation for the beauty and biodiversity that our region offers. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of curry duck with rice and peas or sharing stories about life by the river, I cherish the connections we have to our land and culture.
As a resident deeply rooted in my community, I love engaging with both locals and those in the diaspora who share our rich heritage. I often reminisce about family gatherings where the aroma of hot parathas mingled with the laughter of loved ones brings us together. Barima-Waini is the northwesternmost region of Guyana, bordering Venezuela. Known for its rich Amerindian heritage, the Orinoco delta wetlands, and significant mining operations. Population center is Mabaruma.
