Hello! I’m Monette Williams, a dedicated teacher based in the beautiful Barima-Waini region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant cultures and traditions of our land has profoundly shaped my passion for education. I find inspiration in the lush landscapes of our islands and the rich tapestry of our communities, from the bustling markets of Georgetown to the serene banks of the Essequibo River.
As a proud Guyanese, I cherish our unique culinary heritage, even if some dishes, like pepperpot, don’t make the top of my personal list! I enjoy sharing the stories and flavors of our culture with my students, encouraging them to appreciate our roots while exploring the diverse influences that shape our identity.
