Welcome! I’m Winston Harry, a proud farmer hailing from the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically the 17 Public Road area in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up amidst the lush greenery and vibrant landscapes of Guyana has instilled in me a deep connection to the land. My days are often spent tending to my crops, inspired by the rich agricultural traditions passed down through generations. Whether it’s cultivating rice or planting cassava, the heart of my work lies in nurturing the earth and providing for my community.
Guyana is not just my home; it’s a part of who I am. From the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot at Christmas to the joyful celebrations of Mashramani, I cherish our diverse cultural heritage. I often reminisce about family gatherings where we share stories over a plate of cook-up rice, reminding me of our roots. As I cultivate my farm, I’m also cultivating connections with the diaspora, bridging the gap between those who’ve migrated and those of us who remain, sharing stories and experiences that keep our culture alive.
