Hello! My name is Y Sewsankar, and I proudly hail from the lush landscapes of Essequibo, specifically Naamryck on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the rich culture of Guyana, I have always held a deep appreciation for our vibrant traditions, especially the culinary delights that define our heritage. As a labourer, I have dedicated my days to hard work, reflecting the resilience and perseverance of our people. Although I have witnessed the challenges that plague our homeland, including the political turmoil and economic struggles, my heart remains with Guyana and its potential. I often reminisce about the beauty of our rivers and the warmth of our communities, which continue to inspire me to contribute positively, even from afar, as many of us find our paths in the diaspora.
